Eight Days in the Air
The party spent eight days aboard the airship sent by Filaretos. The crew had begun searching for them a month earlier under urgent orders, supposedly so the party could receive a reward. During the journey, the group also learned more about Andrissa's violent history with dragons.
As the airship approached Andrissa, the party saw vessels from several cities moving south toward contested land. The gathering suggested that the region's political conflicts were becoming more dangerous.
At Court
A Dangerous Celebration
In Andrissa, the party noticed they were being followed before entering a palace crowded with nobles and merchants. Inside they encountered Miska, a diplomat who had completed a poisoning assignment in the party's name. Conflicting warnings from Miska and Queen Nist made it clear that the court was divided and no alliance could be trusted.
The gathering ended when poisoned wine knocked the room unconscious. Sevro, Filaretos's head guard, used the chaos to assassinate the king. The party wounded Sevro during the escape, but a cloaked woman carried him away before he could be captured.
Where We Left Off
A Kingdom without Its King
Filaretos was dead, his assassin had escaped, and the party remained inside a palace whose rival factions had just revealed how far they were willing to go.
