Recap
The Succession
Filaretos remained dead, Miska vanished, and the royal succession moved quickly. Nist became Queen Regent while her young daughter inherited the crown. After the death was formally confirmed, the party accepted guest rooms inside the palace and rested under the new regime's watch.
Outside those rooms, the group discovered a magical wall concealing a passage. Beyond it lay abandoned quarters and a hidden refuge holding more than a dozen magically altered children. Theadora remained behind as their protector and explained that their caretakers had disappeared days earlier.
The Rescue
An Order Refused
When the party brought Theadora before Nist, it became clear that the two knew one another. The queen wanted Theadora and the children killed. The party instead incapacitated them, carried them out of the palace, and released them in the forest to escape north.
The rescue succeeded, but the party's memories were altered afterward. They came to believe that Hector had killed the children, leaving the truth of their escape hidden even from the people who saved them.
Rewards
The Crown Office and CostGnome
The party later visited the Crown Office, where each member received a substantial reward and a property title whose location remained unknown. They also acquired equipment and supplies, then visited CostGnome before preparing to leave Andrissa.
